Two silkscreen works from 1986
that explore themes of time, materiality, and invisibility,
continuing to resonate within the artist’s practice today.
These early investigations into the interplay between the visible and the concealed
anticipate concerns later developed in the Binding and String series.

One Day, 1986, silkscreen on Baron Kent paper , paper size:39.5×55.3 cm, image size: 22.3x43.4 cm, A.P.
One Day captures newspaper bundles bound with hemp rope. It explores the relationship between time and materiality through the physical fixation of the daily flow of information. This interest in “materialising time” later evolved into the Binding and String series (ongoing since 2019), investigating temporal dialogues between materials and unique phenomena.

Each One of Them, 1986, ,silkscreen on Baron Kent paper, paper size:39.5×55.5 cm, image size: 33.0x42.6 cm, edition no. 2/12
Each One of Them features handmade paper boxes containing unseen paper fragments. Though uniformly arranged, each box holds invisible, individual contents. This exploration of invisibility and particularity connects to current investigations of unpredictable phenomena emerging from material encounters.
